Vanessa Pruitt (She/Her/Hers)
MS, LIMHP, CPC, RPT™
COO/ Co-Owner

I specialize in helping children, adolescents, and adults heal from complex trauma and navigate the lasting impacts of difficult life experiences, including abuse, neglect, exposure to domestic violence, and other adverse events. I work with children and teens ages 5–17 as well as adults, providing trauma-informed therapy that supports emotional regulation, resilience, and long-term healing.

As a Registered Play Therapist™ (RPT™), I have advanced training in developmentally appropriate therapeutic approaches that help children process experiences through the language they know best—play. My clinical work integrates play therapy, sand tray therapy, and trauma-focused approaches to support children in expressing emotions, building coping skills, and strengthening attachment relationships.

I also specialize in working with neurodivergent individuals, including children and adults with ADHD, autism, and other neurological differences. My approach is neurodiversity-affirming and focuses on supporting individuals and families in understanding strengths, navigating challenges, and building environments that foster success.

In addition to play therapy, I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and attachment-based interventions, allowing me to tailor treatment to each client’s developmental needs and trauma history.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Nebraska – Kearney and my Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Emporia State University. I completed my internship at Wichita State University, where I provided individual and group counseling and conducted psychological assessments related to ADHD, learning differences, and personality functioning.

When I’m not seeing clients, I enjoy spending time with my family and my four kids.
